Title: History of published versions of the 2050 Calculator

The first published version of the 2050 Calculator published in July 2010.  We published the spreadsheet, web tool and accompanying reports as a Call for Evidence.  This version of the Calculator gave the user 38 (check) choices for how to design their pathway to 2050.

h1 Version 1.1

The second published version of the 2050 Calculator produced in March 2011, responding to the responses from the Call for Evidence.  We published the spreadsheet, web tool and accompanying reports.  This version of the Calculator gave the user 40 (check) choices about how to design their pathway.  It was also the first time we published landscape and sankey diagrams as an output from the web tool. (check)

h1 Version 2.0

The third published version of the 2050 Calculator produced in December 2011, incorporating costs and air quality information.  We published the spreadsheet, web tool and accompanying reports.  This version of the Calculator gave the user 42 (check) choices about how to design their pathway and presented new costs and air quality analysis.

h1 Version 2.1

The fourth published version of the 2050 Calculator produced in (April 2012).  It corrects an error in the mapping between the spreadsheet and web tool and includes a small correction to the representation of the "analogous to MARKAL" pathway.

h1 Explanation of version numbers:

* Version number changes whenever a new version of the Calculator s/sheet and web tool is published.
* When the Calculator updates are relatively minor, the version number goes up from 1.1 to 1.2, etc.  When the updates are major (such as the inclusion of cost information), the version number goes up from 1.0 to 2.0, etc.
