Page 87. Source notes: "Cost basis: There are no other uses, so a cost basis was used. A separate operation is required to collect the resource after tree felling. Costs of supply are forwarding and roadside chipping costs. Data and calculation method comes from the Finnish Forest Research Institute (2004), hence is consistent with the approach used for global resource, but using costs for only a NW Europe country. £2.3/GJ cost at roadside as chips."
We therefore updated this cost to include transport to a commercial end user, based on E4tech (2010) Biomass prices report, table 12, i.e. we added £10/MWh (i.e. not including a margin)
