Notes
See V.a Biomatter to fuel conversion costs for how these costs are used in the 2050 pathways analysis.
The source of this wet biomass is slurry, sewage, macro algae (seaweed) and some segregated household waste.
As a starting point we have taken the same cost data as for Biomass conversion dry biomass and waste to liquid cost data, but the pathways analysis assumes that it operates at a lower efficiency than with dry waste and biomass.
Todo:
- Check that the efficiency drop is consistent with the potential difference in moisture content between wet waste and dry waste or biomass
- Check for specific wet-waste to liquid costs (via a more direct route than gasification, perhaps pyrolysis oils?)
- Check that the gasification costs, when supplemented with a FT come out as similar.
